Privacy Policy

This policy describes how Kierland IT collects, uses, and protects information through our website and client portal. It works alongside our Terms of Service, which controls where the two overlap.

When you contact us or request a quote: your name, email address, phone number, business name, and whatever you write in the message field.

When you create a client portal account: your name, email address, and a securely hashed password (we never store your actual password — see “How we protect your information” below). If you choose to add a phone number and check the SMS consent box, we store the number and a record of that consent.

Through your use of the portal: the tickets and invoices tied to your account, and hosting sites we’ve provisioned for you.

If you pay an invoice online: payment is processed directly by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number — Stripe gives us back a reference to your saved payment method, not the card details themselves.

To respond to inquiries and quote requests, provide the managed IT services you’ve engaged us for, run your client portal account, send you invoices and account-related emails, and — only if you’ve opted in — text you about your account or invoices. We don’t use your information for advertising, and we don’t sell it.

If you provide a phone number and check the consent box, we use it only to send the account and invoice texts described in our Terms of Service. We don’t share your mobile number with third parties for their own marketing purposes, and we don’t use it for anything beyond what you consented to. You can remove your number at any time from the client portal, or reply STOP to any text to opt out.

The client portal sets one cookie to keep you signed in — a secure, HTTP-only session cookie that isn’t readable by scripts on the page and isn’t used for tracking or advertising. We don’t run third-party analytics or ad-tracking scripts on this site.

We share information only with the service providers that make the site and portal work: Stripe for payment processing, our email and (once configured) text messaging providers for sending account and invoice notices, and the infrastructure providers hosting our servers. We don’t sell your information or share it with anyone else for their own marketing.

Portal passwords are stored as salted, one-way cryptographic hashes — we can’t look up or recover your actual password, and neither can anyone who gained access to our database. We use standard security practices for the server and database our systems run on.

We keep account, ticket, and invoice records for as long as your account is active and as needed for legitimate business and legal purposes afterward. You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your information by contacting us below — we’ll respond and act on reasonable requests, subject to what we’re required to keep for billing or legal reasons.

Our site and services are intended for businesses and aren’t directed at children. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

We may update this policy from time to time; the “last updated” date above reflects the most recent change.
